Warm Apple Pie

Do you just ever want to curl up in a blanket, on a cold night, and watch a movie? I know I have. Well, to make it even warmer, here’s a delicious recipe to bake apple pie. You can eat it with a tall cold class of milk. It makes one full pie that you can choose to share, or to keep all to yourself. To make things even better, it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients. Looking all over the store for one ingredient won’t be a problem. I should let you get to baking, then. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients needed:
Two crust for 9-inch pie; any pie pan (not baked)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
1 can (6 ounces) frozen apple juice, thawed
5 to 6 Gala apples, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
Heat oven to 450°F. Place the first pie crust on the bottom of the pan. Set to the side.
In a saucepan, heat flour, cinnamon and salt. Gradually stir in apple juice and bring to a boil. Personally, I raise the temperature of the stove, so that it boils quicker. However, if you choose to do this, you have to watch so that the mixture doesn’t burn. Add apples and stir thoroughly to coat with thickened juice. Be careful not to knock out any of the apples, while stirring. Pour into pie shell and dot with butter. Add top crust and seal.
If you want to have a cross hatching crust, you first have to lay out the second pies crust. Then, with a knife, slice the crust into thin slices. Like so. Also. There’s a possibility that you’ll have to buy another pie crust. This is for the other slices used to crotch hatch.
Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350, and continue baking for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
In the end, my pie ended up looking like this.

If yours doesn’t come out like mine, that’s totally fine. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same. Hopefully, when you take that first bite, it will be absolutely mouthwatering. I would be very happy to know that you liked my recipe. If you didn’t, you can comment to critique something about the recipe. I wouldn’t mind at all. Not everybody shares the same experience.

Berry Fun

Are you wondering what to do this weekend? Well, if you are craving something delicious and sweet, then you should try this new strawberry cake recipe. It’s all from scratch, so you don’t have to worry about eating any unhealthy products. The cake might be a little time consuming, but in the end it’s worth it.

 Here are the ingredients needed:
2 cups white sugar
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O®
 1 cup butter, softened
4 large eggs (room temperature)
2 3/4 cups sifted cake flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup whole milk, room temperature
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberry puree made from frozen sweetened strawberries
These are the steps to baking the cake:

First, you must preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C. You can choose to either grease and flour your cake pans, or butter them. Make sure that it won’t be easy for your cakes to stick to the pan.
Next, in a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and dry strawberry gelatin until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure that everything is mixed well. After that, combine the flour and baking powder into it; alternate with the whole milk. Lastly, blend in the vanilla extract, along with the strawberry puree. Pour the batter evenly into your baking pans.

Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, in the oven, or until the knife (or other baking needle you use) comes out of the cake clean. Wait for about 10 minutes for the cake to cool down. Then, YOU EAT.
There’s something extra you could do, if you don’t want to by store bought frosting. You can also make cream cheese frosting. If you want to make the frosting the same color as the cake, you can add a little red food coloring. That’s optional.

Here are the ingredients needed:
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
 1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
About 3-5 drops of red food coloring (optional)

Cream together these ingredients, as shown in the same order. Cool in the fridge as long as needed.

Well, I hope you enjoy this recipe. Until next time. Bye.

Spring Break

It’s finally here. The thing that nobody thought was possible to reach. The moment we’ve all been waiting for…SPRING BREAK!!

Every student, and even teacher, is excited for Spring Break. The one week where you have no school, and the sky is limit on what you want to do. It’s a time to let off some steam and just relax the entire day. A time where you don’t have to worry about doing any homework, or turning in any projects. It is a mini vacation where you could even travel out of town, and hang out with family and friends. No more having to wake up at 6:30 every day.

Now we can go to sleep as late as we want to. I’ll probably spend most of the time sleeping and partying every night. Not like an insane party, but maybe just inviting people over to hang out. Hopefully, my mom won’t make me go outside for half of the day.
Sometimes parents just don’t understand. Staying in bed all day is the best feeling in the world. Yes, it may be a tad bit lazy, but it’s the only time we’ll be able to do it. Even though the parents still have to work, kids can do whatever they want. Honestly, Spring Break is for anything. You can choose to travel, or you could just do absolutely nothing.

Although, every person I know loves Spring Break, I honestly don't believe that no Spring Break would make a big difference. Yes, it's a week-long break for both students and teachers, but it's only ONE week. It's not as long as summer, so people might not worry about it as much. It's as if it was just another week of school.

My Spring Break probably isn’t as cool as yours, but at least there is no school. You can tell me where you’re going, in the comments below. Let’s see all the amazing places people travel to.
